Kundapur, Jul 18: The body of Harish Kalavara, who jumped into the Varahi River from a bridge near Kandluru on Tuesday afternoon and was swept away, was found today at 2:30 pm near the riverbank at Sangam in Kundapur.
Kandluru station SI Nuthan and staff led the search operation.
The firefighters from Kundapur, members of the local Shaurya team, the Kalavara team, and expert diver Ishwar Malpe’s team were involved in the search operation for two days to locate the body.

Kundapur, Jul 18: There is still no clue about Harish Bovi (44), who jumped into the Varahi river on Tuesday from the bridge near Kandloor.
Fire service personnel, local Shaurya team members, and diving expert Eshwar Malpe conducted a search throughout the day on Wednesday. The search operation extended from Kandloor to the Sangam bridge via Gulvadi, Basrur, and Anagalli.
Jayarama Gowda, Kundapur rural circle inspector, also visited the search site. Nutan, sub-inspector of Kandloor police station, and personnel led the search operation.
MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi visited the search operation site and instructed the police to make all efforts to find Harish and investigate from all angles.
