Kundapur, Aug 3: A car plunged into a river at Upladi bridge near Madhuvana on Saturday, August 3, in the morning after the driver swerved to avoid hitting a dog that ran across the road.

The vehicle, driven by Abdul Razak, a resident of Madhuvana, escaped with minor injuries. Razak was driving from Moorukai to Madhuvana when the dog crossed his path.

In his attempt to avoid the animal, Razak swerved suddenly, lost control, and the car fell into the river. Fortunately, the vehicle became wedged in a tree just above the water.

Local residents quickly rescued Razak, who sustained only minor injuries and a crane was used to retrieve the car.
