Udupi: Independence Day celebration held at SMVITM

Udupi, Aug 15: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, proudly celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a memorable event.

The chief guest, Ganesh Adiga, Subedar Major/Honorary Lieutenant (Retd), delivered an evocative speech that highlighted the sacrifices of the armed forces and the importance of national unity.

Principal Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat echoed these sentiments, urging everyone to embrace and uphold the values of freedom and integrity.

The event, skillfully hosted by Cadet Satvik S Bhat, featured a notable NCC drill where the cadets provided a ceremonial escort for the chief guest, adding a grand touch to the proceedings. Attendees included NCC caretaker officer M Karthik V, PI staff Nagesh, physical education directors, deans, HODs, faculty, staff, and students, all contributing to a celebration filled with pride and patriotism.
