Udupi, Oct 4 : The NSS-YRC Unit of SMVITM celebrated NSS Day and Gandhi Jayanti by organizing the 'Swachhta Hi Seva Programme' on October 3. Renowned social worker Vishu Shetty from Ambalapady graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Vishu Shetty emphasized the importance of cultivating humanitarian values alongside academic pursuits. Principal Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat, the programme's president, highlighted cleanliness and social responsibility. Vice principal Prof Ganesh Aithal was also present.
As a token of appreciation, Rajesh, assistant Warden, was felicitated for his selfless service to the institution.
The programme concluded with the distribution of food kits to all housekeeping staff, promoting the spirit of service and gratitude.
Student coordinators Manya Patkar and Priyadarshini coordinated the event. NSS committee coordinator Prof Sachin Prabhu extended the vote of thanks.
