Mangalore: Senior Citizens Day celebrated at Paldane Church

Mangalore, Oct 31: Senior Citizens Day was celebrated at St. Teresa Church, Paldane, Mangalore, with 82 senior citizens from the church's 10 wards in attendance. The celebration began with a Holy Mass. Fr Richard Quadras, the event's chief guest, spoke after the Mass, expressing that senior citizens serve as guiding lights for the community. The parish priest, Fr Alban D'Souza, offered a special benediction for the senior citizens.

Patsy Monteiro, the cultural committee coordinator, delivered the welcome address, and church vice president Elias Fernandes and secretary Austin Monteiro were also present. Charles D'Mello gave a speech on behalf of the senior citizens, while Flavia D'Souza conducted the program.

 

Cyril Fernandes and his team performed a short play, and Charles Fernandes delighted the audience with a humorous act. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Clifford Rodrigues.
