Puttur: Science week 'Sciencia' held at St Philomena PU College

Puttur, Nov 4: Science Forum in collaboration with the department of science organized science week 'Sciencia' at St Philomena PU College on November 4.

The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp.

The president, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena PU College, Puttur, stressed that physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth are essential for holistic development. He urged students to develop good skills.

The chief guest, Dr Shriprakash B, vice president, Parent Teacher Association emphasized that science is an integral part of our lives, intersecting with various subjects. It provides a structured methodology for exploring the natural and social world through observation, experimentation, analysis, and discovery. He urged students to select the best path in life and make their existence truly meaningful."

Yashawanth M D, dean of science department was present on the occasion.

Poster making, identification of specimens, science rangoli, leaf art, science model, science fancy dress, ice break science dance are the competitions to be conducted in this science week 'Sciencia'.

The programme was coordinated by the convenors Rohith Kumar T, department of physics and Ashalatha K, department of mathematics.

Ayisha Salmee (II PCMB 'A’) welcomed the gathering. Hala Fathima (II PCMB 'B') proposed vote of thanks. Thambreen Dishana (II PCMB 'A') compered the programme.
