Mangaluru, Jan 28: The countdown has officially begun for Daiji Dubai’s highly anticipated 25th anniversary celebrations, set to take place on February 8 at the Bendur St Sebastian Centenary Auditorium. The event, which will kick off at 5 pm sharp, promises an unforgettable evening featuring a Konkani musical night, an award ceremony, and a book release.
In preparation for the event, the organizers have revealed an exciting line-up of performers. Renowned Konkani musician Sanjay Rodrigues will lead the musical extravaganza, while Memory Mangalore, a talented group of stage and screen artists under the direction of Mellu Valencia, will bring laughter and entertainment to the stage.
A highlight of the evening will be a medley of Konkani golden hits performed by a team of 70 children, trained by celebrated singer and vocalist Joshal D’Souza. The performance is sure to captivate the audience with their energy and talent.
The event will also feature spectacular dance performances by Urban Groove, a premier coastal dance academy, known for their innovative choreography and dynamic performances.
Prominent voices of the Konkani music industry will also take center stage, including Anil D'Sa Pangla, Shilpa Cutinha, Joshal D’Souza, Robin Sequeira, Rynel Sequeira, Jason Lobo, and Melroy Furtado. These celebrated vocalists will perform a series of Konkani hit songs, alongside rising stars Dealle D’Souza and Paloma Rodrigues.
Music stars such as Roshan Crasta Bela, Sanjeeth Rodrigues, Stalin D’Souza, and Veekshith will join Sanjay Rodrigues to bring innovative rhythms and dynamic playing styles to the event. Additionally, the talented chorus group GG100, trained by renowned vocalist Raina Sequeira, will provide the perfect musical backing for the evening’s performances.
The event will be hosted by Leslie Rego, known for his engaging stage presence and crisp commentary, ensuring a lively and entertaining atmosphere throughout the evening.
