Mangalore: Fruits Distributed at Wenlock Hospital as a Part of Physio Week 2012

Mangalore, Jan 9: On third day of Physio week 2012, ‘Fruit Distribution’ was organized at premises of government Wenlock Hospital here on Monday January 9.

 

 

The event was inaugurated by honorable mayor of Mangalore city Corporation Praveen Kumar.

District medical officer Dr G M. Sangameshwara of Wenlock Hospital was the chief guest.

Managing director Vinaya Hospital and Research centre of Dr Hansraj Alva and trustee of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Dr Ranjith Shetty were the guest of honour.

The Physiotherapy students of various colleges in Mangalore came together and participated in the event and distributed the fruits to the patients in the hospital.

The fruits were also distributed in old age homes such as The Little Sister’s of the poor, Nanthoor, St Ann’s Old Age Home, Capitanio, and Abhaya Ashrama Konaje and in orphanages.

    Excellent to have involved students of various colleges so that they get a lesson of doing social work. It gives immense pleasure to see the needy smile.

    Such programs must be arranged very frequently to establish harmony and equality among people.
