Kasargod: Bike-lorry collision claims life of 35-year-old in Kumbla

Kasargod, Mar 17: A tragic accident claimed the life of a biker after his two-wheeler collided with a lorry near a petrol pump in Shiriya, Kumbla, along the national highway on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Ravichandra, son of Tampanna Poojary from Kanhangad, Kumbla. He was working as a medical representative.

Ravichandra sustained severe injuries in the accident and died on the spot. The mishap occurred while he was traveling towards Kumbla.

Kumbla police have conducted a preliminary investigation. Ravichandra was also the brother of Janardhan, a member of the Puttige gram panchayat.

    Rest in Peace to the young soul....Replying to you in general...Why is the blame always on truck /lorry drivers. I have seen two wheelers being driven rashly, changing lanes erratically, without wearing helmets. Indian roads aren't meant for that.
