Mangaluru, Sep 27: The spirit of Konkani culture was celebrated with great fervor at the CASK Reunion 2025, held following the association's 112th annual general meeting. The event transformed St Sebastian Hall into a vibrant hub of artistic expression and community joy.
Anchored by the spirited hosting of Dr Rohan Monis, vice president of CASK, the afternoon was a curated showcase of Konkani heritage. The cultural programme, guided by the dedication of Flora Castelino, featured a diverse range of performances.

A key highlight was the Bharatanatyam prayer dance by Remona Evette Pereira, which paid tribute to her recent 170-hour world record feat. In recognition of her exceptional achievements, CASK conferred upon her the prestigious CASK Mothiyam Puraskar.
The audience was treated to a rich tapestry of performances, including a spoken tribute to Konkani heritage by Sancia, the traditional percussive rhythms of the Ghumot by Prajwal & Shavil, and lively folk dances like the Dekkni Naach by Melvita’s troupe and the Tonniyo Naach by Romith and team. The melodic strains of a Manddo performance by Franklin added a classic Goan touch to the festivities.
In a gesture of appreciation for behind-the-scenes contributions, CASK office staff Prathima was honored for her unwavering commitment to the association's objectives.
The celebration concluded on a note of lighthearted camaraderie with a lively round of Housie Housie led by Jinette D’Souza. The reunion successfully blended tradition with celebration, reaffirming CASK's vital role in nurturing community bonds and artistic excellence.
