Mangaluru: The Yenepoya School holds Early Childhood Education Meet 2025 – Season 1

Mangaluru, Dec 8: The first ever edition of the Early Childhood Education Meet 2025 – Season 1 unfolded with warmth, insight, and a shared commitment to enriching the formative years of learning. Hosted by The Yenepoya School, Akshara House of Children, and Yenepoya World School in association with Hakuna Matata and Cambridge University Press and Assessment, the event brought together educators, Head of Institutions and experts.

This initiative was held on the December 6 at The Yenepoya School auditorium housing over 100 educators across various schools in Mangaluru. The morning began with an interactive session that set the tone for a day of reflection and innovation followed by an interesting panel discussion. The panelists included Dr Sr Dorothy D'Souza, principal, St Ann's College of Education in Mangaluru, Vinaya D’Souza, principal, SCS Preschools, Mangaluru, Chandrika S Bhandary, principal, Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangaluru, Rosemarie Saldanha, educator, Early Childhood Education specialist, Mangaluru and Ujwala Krishnaraj, founder, Flips and Giggles – Puppeteer and kids storyteller. They discussed their experiences with early childhood learning and practices that enhance and emphasis overall development as Anthony Joseph, principal of The Yenepoya School led them through the topics.

An engaging workshop was organized by Amruthavalli R, product marketing manager, South, from Cambridge University Press and Assessment offering hands-on strategies for educators, focusing on child-centric pedagogy and global best practices. The session included icebreaker activities fostering creative exchange of ideas among participants. The programme concluded with an open forum invited heartfelt sharing on the developmental needs of young learners and the role of community in shaping their journey.

The event concluded with a sumptuous lunch, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness that defined the day. Participants echoed the importance of collaboration across institutions, families, and policy frameworks that met the aim of forming such a platform.
