Mangaluru, Dec 15: Air India Express has announced the resumption of direct flight services between Mangaluru and Muscat from March 2026, providing renewed international connectivity for passengers from the coastal region.

According to airport authorities, the service will operate twice a week, on Sundays and Tuesdays, beginning March 1. Flights are scheduled on March 3, March 8 and 10, and March 15 and 17, with the timetable set to continue in the same pattern. The duration of the journey will be approximately three hours and 25 minutes.

The Mangaluru–Muscat sector had earlier been operated under the 2025 summer schedule, with services commencing on July 14. The airline had run four flights a week on the route before subsequently suspending operations.

Airport officials said the summer schedule will come into effect from March 29, following which there will be changes in flight timings and schedules for departures from Mangaluru.
“Passengers are advised to check updated schedules while planning their travel,” officials said.

The resumption of the Muscat service is expected to benefit expatriates and business travellers, strengthening air links between Mangaluru and the Gulf region.
