Mangaluru: Absconding accused arrested in cheating case

Mangaluru, Feb 6: Ullal police have arrested an accused who had gone absconding after securing bail from the court in connection with a cheating case.

The arrested accused has been identified as Lakshmeesha Babu (48).

A team led by the Ullal police station officer traced and arrested the accused in Bengaluru and produced him before the seventh JMFC court in Mangaluru city.

The court subsequently remanded the accused to judicial custody.
