Karkala, Mar 6: Among 236 taluks in the state, Karkala has secured the sixth position in the implementation of the state government’s ambitious revenue department programme on title deed application approvals and the best podi (plotting) scheme.
In Karkala taluk, within the jurisdiction of a total of 2,251 survey numbers, the work of issuing Annexure-1 to 7,578 account holders through software, without obtaining any separate documents, has been successfully completed. The success has been achieved due to the speedy and transparent execution of the title deed approval process.

Effective use of the digital system, coordination among officials, and the prompt delivery of services to the public made this achievement possible. In this regard, the revenue commissioner has congratulated Karkala taluk tahsildar Pradeep R, and awards and appreciation letters have been presented to the taluk revenue department staff.
In the state-level ranking, the first position has been secured by Kadaba tahsildar Prabhakar Kajure. Kundapur tahsildar Pradeep Kurudekar has secured the fourth position. While Beltangady has secured the second position and Puttur the third, Bantwal has been placed fifth and Karkala has been recognised in the sixth position. Shira has secured the 10th position, Sullia the 11th, Moodbidri the 13th, and Udupi the 14th position. The achievements of various taluks of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts being recognised at the state level reflect the overall efficiency of the district administrative system.
Securing the fourth position at the state level is the result of the collective effort of the Kundapur taluk revenue department. We have effectively used digital software to complete the title deed approval and podi work in a transparent and speedy manner, said Pradeep Kurudekar, Kundapur tahsildar.
