Karkala, March 6: Police have arrested an accused who had been absconding for several years in connection with a case registered at the Karkala Town police station.
The arrested individual has been identified as Ibrahim alias Ibbu, who had reportedly been evading arrest since the case was filed.
Police personnel Lokesh and Sanjay traced the accused to Shivamogga district, where he was apprehended following a search operation.
After his arrest, the accused was brought to Karkala and produced before the jurisdictional court for further legal proceedings, police said.
