Beltangady: One dead, nine injured as TT vehicle overturns at Charmadi Ghat

Beltangady, Mar 21: In yet another tragic accident at Charmadi Ghat, a TT vehicle travelling from Bhadravathi to Dharmasthala overturned near the 10th hairpin bend after the driver reportedly lost control on Saturday, March 21.

As a result of the accident, nine persons in the vehicle sustained injuries, while one person, identified as Shekharappa (59), died.

The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where treatment is ongoing.

The mishap occurred at a dangerous turn on the ghat road. Local residents rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
