Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana first look to release on Hanuman Jayanti

Mumbai, Mar 27: The first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama in the upcoming film Ramayana will be unveiled on April 2, coinciding with the festival of Hanuman Jayanti.

The announcement was made by producer Namit Malhotra on social media on the occasion of Rama Navami. He described the project as a deeply significant story and said the team is committed to presenting it with sincerity and scale.

“We look forward to sharing the next glimpse, ‘Rama’ on April 2... as we begin to showcase years of effort through a grand launch,” Malhotra said, thanking audiences for their patience and support.

Earlier, the film generated online buzz after alleged images of Kapoor’s look as Lord Rama surfaced, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features a star-studded cast including Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

On the technical front, the project brings together global names such as composers Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman, with action directed by Guy Norris and performance capture by Terry Notary.

The epic film is planned as a two-part release, scheduled for Diwali 2026 and 2027.
