Ranbir Kapoor unveils ‘Ramayana’ glimpse in Los Angeles, calls Lord Rama ‘conscience keeper’

Los Angeles, Mar 31: Ahead of the release of the first glimpse of Rama on April 2, actor Ranbir Kapoor along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra attended a special preview event in Los Angeles where the first visuals of the much-awaited mythological epic Ramayana were showcased to an exclusive international audience.

The screening of the film footage was held before a packed audience, with several images and videos from the event circulating on social media, highlighting strong global interest in the project.

During the event, the team also participated in a Q&A session, where Ranbir Kapoor spoke about portraying Lord Rama on screen. He described Lord Rama as the “conscience keeper” of humanity and referred to him as Maryada Purushottam, calling him the ideal embodiment of righteousness, compassion and courage.

The actor said Lord Rama continues to remain deeply relevant across generations and highlighted the character’s teachings on resilience, morality and the human spirit in adversity.

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman along with Hans Zimmer.

The film is one of the most anticipated mythological projects, with Part One scheduled for worldwide release in October 2026, ahead of Diwali, while the second part is slated for 2027.
