Ujjain, Apr 1: Actor Akshay Kumar visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple along with his mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia to seek blessings ahead of the release of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla.

Videos circulating online show the duo offering prayers and performing rituals at the temple. Akshay was seen dressed in a traditional white outfit, while Dimple Kapadia wore a pink saree. In one clip, they are seen performing the jal abhishek ritual with a brass pot, while another shows the actor bowing before Nandi Dev’s idol and whispering his wishes.

The film, directed by Priyadarshan, is a horror comedy slated to release in theatres on April 10.

Akshay Kumar shares a close bond with Dimple Kapadia, though she had earlier expressed reservations about her daughter Twinkle Khanna marrying him. Speaking at an event in 2024, she later praised the actor for his discipline and personality, calling him an “amazing man.”

Akshay and Twinkle Khanna got married in 2001 and have two children, Aarav and Nitara.

Apart from Akshay, Bhooth Bangla features Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles. The film is jointly produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.
