New Delhi, May 1: Amazon’s push into India’s fast-growing quick commerce segment is showing early momentum, with its ultrafast delivery service ‘Amazon Now’ witnessing steady growth, the company’s top executive has said.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, during an analyst call, revealed that orders on Amazon Now are increasing by around 25 per cent month on month. The service, launched in India last year, offers delivery of thousands of items within 30 minutes.

Jassy noted that Prime members are increasingly adopting the service, with their shopping frequency reportedly tripling once they begin using Amazon Now.
Despite the encouraging growth, Amazon and other late entrants like Flipkart continue to trail established players in terms of scale and reach. Industry leaders such as Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart still dominate the segment with wider network coverage and higher order volumes.
According to a UBS report based on channel checks for the December quarter of FY26, Amazon Now currently handles around 3 to 4 lakh orders daily across approximately 450 dark stores. This translates to an average of 700 to 900 orders per store per day.
In comparison, Blinkit is estimated to handle about 1,400 orders per store daily, while Swiggy Instamart records around 1,034 orders per store during the same period.
The rapid expansion highlights intensifying competition in India’s quick commerce space, which has emerged as one of the most dynamic segments in the country’s e-commerce market.
