Oh Belur - What Kind of Politics is This!

Bangalore, Nov 14: Sagar constituency's BJP MLA is a live example of how some of our politicians change their colours overnight ! An ardent follower of former Karnataka CM B S Yeddyurappa, the MLA has shown his true political colour by giving the statements against BSY's Karnataka Janatha Party !

Those who followed TV news channels during Yeddyurappa's 'political crisis' time may well be aware of the personality Belur Gopalakrishna. The handsome, flamboyant, and posh MLA once rebelled against B S Yeddyurappa by joining Janardhana Reddy camp in the year 2010. Later, he reportedly fell to BSY's feet and shifted his loyalty back Yeddyurappa.

When Yeddyurappa's political career was in crisis,  Belur along with his friend Renukacharya stood by him and pledged their support unconditionally. "Come what may, I will remain with Yeddyurappa until my last breath," had been Belur's words.

Even after Yeddurappa lost his CM seat, Belur continued to back his 'guru', perhaps expecting at least a ministerial berth or a chairman's post of any board. When he realised both were not coming his way, he maintained silence for sometime.

Now, Belur is suddenly in the news again, and this time it seems he has quietly shifted his loyalty from Yeddyurappa to Shettar. Below is his statement given on Tuesday November 13 at Hassan in a press conference.

"If Yeddyurappa leaves BJP, there is no loss for party. If he wants to go, let him go, BJP is a national party and here no one is permanent. Building a new party and succeeding is not an easy job. If Yeddyurappa goes out, BJP has other game plans to keep the government alive and win the next elections. Look at Bangarappa - he was a popular leader among the backward community, but when he left the party he became a big failure."

By the way, while giving the above statement he did not forget to mention, "If Renukacharya and other supporters of Yeddyurappa go with him, it will benefit me as I might get a chance in the cabinet for the last few months."

This sudden change in attitude of Belur has surprised thousands of Yedyyurappa supporters, as it was reported that Belur was one of the MLAs instrumental in creating KJP!

Let's wait and watch which politician goes which way.

    Dear All,
It is opportune to note from the circumstances prevailing in both Janata parties that they are ready to stoop to any level to be in position even for a few months to have a name like 'Ex MLA'later. This tonic of power besides money is creating all situations, unheard of earlier. The buying of MLA's to retain power made them understand that there is lot of money to grab by misusing power and through corrupt practices. We need to understand that this situation came about for at least 2 reasons: a. We made it possible to have a coalition government b. we elected unworthy, unqualified candidates. When power is given in the hands of such people, what do we expect? Let us come to realize our mistakes and do the needful in the next election: ie. not to go by caste or creed or sect while electing candidates. (Let the parties field caste based candidates in given areas where majority reside but we shall vote for the best qualified). We shall not get swayed by tall promises but ask for basic necessities first: Are we going to get good infrastructure roads, rail, street lights, drainage, water/electricity supply, good and progressive corruption free governance etc. When I and you vote for a candidate with proven qualification, we can expect change in the true sense. Progressive, forward looking candidates with good education like that of bureaucrats and social workers (not gossip mongers) should be voted to office. Our Ex MLC, Octavia Albuquerque did not even ask for her various allowances which were legally due to her though old, her convictions have not changed. LET INDIA AND ALL MANKIND RISE and corruption fail.

Big time "LOSER". Rather than proving himself by doing good things in the society, he chooses the path of being stupid, back biting. Act like a MAN and do things that is accepted by the citizens of Karnataka and not by politicians. lol

They all confuse the voters. The voters this time should be alert. Please vote only to those who are non-corrupt or whose intention stand for election is to practice corruption. Voters do not vote to a candidate whose name is already figured in corrupt politician list. You do not worry about BJP< KJP< Congress>JDS. Simply vote to a candidate (preferably an independent) who can follow the footsteps of Mahatma. Unfortunately there should be a place in the ballot paper wherein one could decline to vote on the ground that the candidates are all corrupt. In such a case if there is majority for rejection of candidates then they should be barred from contesting future elections. Voting should also be made compulsory. If a person has failed to vote all the benefits which the Government gives like subsidies etc should be denied to such undemocratic citizen.

Political leaders need to know that moral is must in politics. Other wise people in a democracy will ditch them to gutter. Citizens in a democratic country expect a leader to be loyal to their motive in politics. In this connection all BSY, DVS and Shettar are dignified but leading a monkey group as could be observed from their statements.

Think of the future of Karnataka, if there are leaders like this. We the people elect a candidate but we have no say in what he does. This is our politics and we always abide by this so called politics. Don't we require a political policy change. All the parties are same. No one is worried about the JANATA.

Belur Gopala Krishna, once foe and another occasion friend of BSY tend to change loyalty as right from the inception BJP Govt in Karnataka indulging dissent activities with leaders and BJP party. Now batting for BJP under the circumstance, for being from the District of once BJP supremo,BSY,BJP might promised him a berth if he bat for BJP against the bowling/Googly of BSY!!!But some are how, he is untrustworthy and ruined his political career changing loyalties frequently. It is remained to be seen how many BSY loyals are able to hang around BSY till December 9!!!Yogishwar,Forest Minister, four independents, Somanna and two(one sitting and one ex..) dissent MLAs from Hassan are in serious negotiations with Congress!!!Under the prevailing situation in Karnataka Politics, CONGRESS PARTY IS MOST SOUGHT BY LEADERS OF OTHER PARTIES!!!But voters are supreme power in coming days.It is gaining momentum that BJP may fare 4th position behind BSY?

Only few people can understand that it was a Political Gimmick to ensure that Yeddy leaves BJP for good. Everybody knows very well that only BJP has better future in Karnataka as well as in Central since people fed up with Congress & Alliance Parties scams surfacing on daily basis. I feel sorry for those firm and blind followers of Congress Party but it is true that we lag behind another 25 years just because we have Congress Rule in India for last 8 years. Wait for BJP rule in Central in next coming election and same CBI sleuths will drag one by one of those Congress & Alliance Party Leaders who made millions in various scams till date. May be some of them leave India for good as expected. I see only hurdle to BJP is “Ram Mandir” If they start scratching “Mandir” issue again I think even Hindus will not vote for them again and they have to check various “Senas & Dals” from time to time just to ensure not to harm any other peace loving communities in India but same time they have to support them whenever there is threat or attack on majority community
