Eight Injured in Road Mishap

Puttur: In a vehicle pile-up at Darbe here, eight persons were injured. Two rickshaws and a car were involved in the road mishap. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital at Puttur.

Van Hits Woman Near Santhoor

Padubidri: A woman was injured when a milk van on reverse gear hit her at near Santhoor here. Lilly Cardoza (55) was standing on the road side near Neerchal Milk Producers Women’s co-operative Society when the van hit her. She has been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal.

Car Turns Turtle Injuring 5 Persons

Mulki: A car plying to Kollur from Nanmanda, Kerala lost control and turned turtle near Kolnad on Wednesday, April 20. Five persons were injured as the vehicle fell into a ditch on the side of the road.

Driver Unnikrishnan, Ramakrishna, his wife Lakshmi Kutti, car owner Shivdas and Rakhilraj were injured and have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore.

Blue Film CDs Seized

Mangalore: The District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) raided a video centre in Besant Complex and seized six pornographic CDs and DVDs and 126 pirated VCDs. The confiscated goods worth more than Rs 14,000. Prashant Kumar (26) has been arrested.
