AAP says its legislator did not misbehave with defeated Congressman's wife

New Delhi, Dec 10 (NDTV) : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has described a police case against one of its newly-elected legislators in Delhi as a political conspiracy.

Dharmender Koli from the AAP has been accused by the man he defeated, Congressman Veer Singh Dhingan, of entering his house and misbehaving with the Congress leader's wife during a victory procession on Sunday.

In the recent elections in the capital, the AAP made a smashing electoral debut, winning 40 per cent of Delhi's seats, and forcing the incumbent Congress to third place.

Mr Koli was elected to the Delhi legislature from the Seemapuri constituency in north-east Delhi, which had elected Mr Dhingra three times in the past.

"There are many corruption cases against Veer Singh," said AAP leader Manish Sisodia, asserting that the charges against his colleague are baseless.

Mr Koli said, "I will file a defamation case against them. I was busy throughout the day in the procession. Our procession passed through Seemapuri, Gopulpuri and other parts of the constituency. I was in an open jeep and did not get time to get out of it. How can I do such things? It is an attempt to malign my image."

Mr Koli's sister, Santosh, had originally been selected as the AAP candidate from the Seemapuri constituency earlier. But she died in August in a road accident soon after; the AAP has said she was murdered.

The AAP has 28 of Delhi's 70 seats. The BJP has 31, not enough to form the government. The AAP has said it will not partner with or provide external support to the BJP; it has said it would rather serve as the opposition or contest a new election. The Lieutenant Governor, Najeeb Jung, will have to decide what happens next for the city.

this would be game of politics. Since AAP has become more stronger year span of time.. the other opponent party will spoil AAP image by giving false information. this is not the first time in bad politics. When MP's and MLA can do physical fight in the assembly hall this is nothing. AAP you do not worry.. think that this is an advertisement for our AAP to go much higher on the national level

Just do not make wild allegation. Provide proof of misbehaviour and make a case against the person.
I know you have lost in the election. Accept the defeat and see where you went wrong during your tenure. It would have been better if you had looked into your responsibilities as a elected rep. during your tenure. Now cool your heels till you improve your ability to discharge the duties if at all you are elected again in the future. You are out because you did not do your duties towards the people.
Do not start third class methods to blame others.

Serious introspection should have been done when you Congress were in power. If you had performed well, people would have elected you again. What is the use of introspection after the defeat in various states.
You have 6 more months to try and repair the damage to some extent and gain back the confidence of people before the next LS election.
Do not sit on the seat of your pants and keep crying on your losses. You are not that dumb to say "Want to check now where we went wrong"!!!
Congress is the best party, people like it to be at the center but you are chucking it away by your foolishness.
There is no Modi wave. It was your shallowness that allowed the others to wade through so easily.

How can you imagine that AAP must participate in government. They don't have majority. BJP or congress will not support AAP as it will hit them hard due to their corruption. At least they have a vision not only for Delhi but for the entire nation. Their contest itself, changed the view point of people on political system. If BJP is ready to bring SWARAJ & JAN LOKPAL BILL as drafted by AAP, they can support BJP but BJP will never agree and people will teach lesson to BJP in next election

AAP involved in money laundering activities before coming to power. Now they won some assembly seats and started goondagiri and misbehaving with women. This party is another face of BJP and some of their leaders already given the hint about forming the govt with BJP support. BJP created this party only to divide the congress votes and gain the power from the back door. AAP's real face will be disclosed soon, corruption and goondagiri.
