Daijiworld Correspondent at Paldane (GA) - pics - Viju Mangalore [12.35pm, IST]

Mangalore, Apr 24: A new church affiliated to the patronage of Blessed Teresa of Kolkata was inaugurated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore on Monday April 24 at Paldane near Kulshekar here.


The new church has been carved from the present Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Kulshekar.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore was welcomed by parish priest Fr G W Vas along with many priests and devotees on Monday morning. After the welcome, all proceeded to the new church on a procession with brass band adding solemnity to the occasion.



Bishop then inaugurated and blessed the new presbytery before inaugurating the blessing the new church.



A number of priests, nuns and hundreds of devotees participated in the solemn Eucharistic celebration for which Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza was the main celebrant.  A melodious choir was the highlight of the celebration.
