New Delhi, Jun 20: Critically acclaimed filmmaker Woody Allen's latest celluloid offering, Scoop, is ready for release.
Scoop is Allen's 37th film in 41 years. In this film, Allen examines magic, murder, mystery and love, all of it in his signature style.
The film is written and directed by Allen, whose prolific body of work includes Annie Hall, Manhattan and Stardust Memories.
Scoop stars Hugh Jackman, Scarlet Johansson and Ian McShane, besides Allen himself. It's a contemporary comedy, in which Johansson plays a student journalist for a college paper, who gets the scoop of a lifetime from a rather peculiar source while visiting friends in London.
Along the murder trail, Johansson finds magic, murder, mystery and perhaps love with a British aristocrat, played by Jackman.
The film was shot in London and opens in theatres on July 28th.
Woody Allen is an academy award-winning director, writer, actor and comedian, whose last release was Match Point in 2005.
