Moodbidri, Jun 23: Srinivas Upadhyaya (75), a retired teacher and a very popular personality in the area passed away on Thursday June 22 night in the hospital after a brief period of illness.
Srinivas Upadhyaya who was known as a man of great intellect was the principal of famous Mahaveer College for 20 years. Being a man of principles, he was known for discipline. During his tenure as the principal, Mahaveer College recorded growth in all fields, especially scaling great heights in academics.
He was also the correspondent of Rotary English Medium School here for long. He was also the office bearer of many organizations and social service institutions of the area.
