Karkala: Meet held to chalk out preventive measures during monsoon

Karkala, June 10: A meeting of jewelery shop owners and bank staff was held in the local police station here to chalk out protective measures in monsoons.

"If there are piles of garbage near the jewelery shops or banks, those should be cleared. Shrubs that can help the robbers to hide should also be uprooted," said the police officials. 

They said, "CC TV cameras should be installed inside and outside the banks and jewelery shops to capture images."

"Problems relating to further security should be solved by communication with the police. If strangers are found wandering suspiciously, the police station should be informed," they concluded. 

Police circle inspector R N Raikar, city police station inspector Ravi, Mahadeva Shetty from rural police station and locals were present during the meeting.
