IGI Airport starts pet facilitation desk


New Delhi, July 22 (IANS): IGI Airport Tuesday became the first airport in the country to launch a pet travel information and facilitation desk - 'Pet Fly' - at Terminal-3.

According to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the company, which manages IGI Airport, the new service will provide the pet owners with end-to-end solution for all travel needs of the pets at the passenger terminal.

Earlier, the pet check-ins had to go through cargo terminal, and handling and other regulatory clearance procedures were not part of passenger facilities at the airport.

The service is handled by a specialised company 'Pet Fly' which was launched in 2005 and has a team of veterinarian doctors for treating and relocating pets worldwide.
