Daijiworld releases improved Android and iOS mobile apps

Mangalore, Aug 5 : Keeping pace with the latest technology, to meet the requirements of high-end mobile users, Daijiworld.com has now released its advanced mobile versions for both Android and iPhone devices. The earlier version in Android, which had more than 25,000 downloads has been discarded. Users are requested to download the latest version to make full use of the new features.

"After receiving feedback from users of the previous version of Android and several requests from iPhone users, we have developed the latest mobile version for both platforms. There is still scope for improvement, and we will keep adding more content. Also, we will soon launch daijiworld versions in Windows mobile and Blackberry platforms," says Karthik, the head of information and technology in Daijiworld media group.

What's New?

The latest version is more user-friendly with better interface, visually appealing and designed for readers who like to browse on the move, anytime, anywhere. Both platforms will bring the latest updates of Daijiworld news and obituary columns. The opening page has TOP stories and Karnataka news updates, while the MENU has news updates of ALL news sections. The obituary tab has been included under menu on the request of readers.

In the same page, apart from news updates, users can go to live streaming of Daijiworld 24X7 TV channel.

Unlike earlier version, now readers of mobile version can READ and POST comments for news and obituaries. 

Readers can also forward news/obituary content to any email address, and share on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites that are installed in phone, and even on WhatsApp.

    The new improved mobile app works properly and fast on my Samsung Galaxy S5. There is a qualitative difference between the old and the new one. I do not know if the new app will work on my iPad Air, I must try.

    This app is good but needs to use some features on ios & android like background refresh & notification center. I hope future may contain this feature & some speed improvements.

    In the MENU screen, we prefer to see all those - "Home, News, Sandesh, ....., Properties, Jobs, Classifieds, ... Debate" pages instead of existing " Top Stories, Karnataka, Mumbai, .... pages.
