Australia set to roll out red carpet for PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Oct 14 (Agencies) : After mesmerising the United States of America, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to deliver a historic address to a joint sitting of federal Parliament when he visits Australia for the G20 summit in Brisbane in November.

With this, Modi will be the first PM to visit Australia since Rajiv Gandhi in 1986.

Besides Modi, China’s President Xi Jinping, Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron will also address federal Parliament.

The visit will provide a major boost to India-Australia ties.

Ahead of Modi's visit, the first Gujarati film, “Bey Yaar” (Two Friends), has been released in three Australian cities - Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Abbott concluded his visit to India recently, after which he thanked Modi for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him.

“The visit had resulted in concrete outcomes and added new dimensions to the strategic partnership between India and Australia," a statement had said.

India and Australia had signed a landmark civil nuclear cooperation agreement during Abbott's visit.

    ajith,

our support is issue based and not party based .

for nationalistic indians, nation security and development is paramount along with citizens security and prosperity.

present govt has just taken off and putting steps in the right direction.whether it will succeed or not, only time will tell .so lets wait for mar 2019 and then give a impartial verdict regarding
the performance of this govt.no one should lend part based support then, but issue based support.

nationalistic indians should not support any govt even this present
govt if they try to introduce gm foods or anti people policies etc.
there is no ambiguity regarding this.

    good day thanks.

If anybody does not like negative comments, criticism about present government and like only praise in this Daijiworld forum I advice them to start separate website called Chaddi world so that all like minded people who are very happy about Modiji can comment there.

May be with this visit (Red Carpet!!!) Modi may be wanting to "Sell" some thing in return for their "Uranium".

Mr. Narendra Modi made life miserable for Millions of Indian's back home in India for the life saving drugs more dearly to pay through their nose in his U.S Visit!!!

Great achievement!!!! Good Salesmanship in U.S!!!!

Hope this "Red Carpet Visit to Australia" will make Millions of Indian's life more miserable once again "May Be" for paying for power(electricity) more "Dearly Through Their Nose!!!.

Modi & Company (Adani's,Amabani's,etc.) have invested largely in power sector(electricity) to bring Mr. Narendra Modi in to the main stream of politics(power at the center from the state of Gujarat!!!)

Indian Coal sector(for electricity) is in doldrums!!! because of the Supreme Court's intervention.

So Australia has the rich quality coal (similar to Indonesian coal) and the "Uranium Reserves" too!!! which is the world's largest.!!!

He is desperate to pay back the favors he has received from Adani's,Ambani's...etc.etc.
for his party for the success of the last Lokh Sabha elections.

    peter,

as everyone knows there was and is overflow of food produce in the country since 2003,but still vegetable and food prices kept increasing more and more why?

    reason is:

illegal stocking and hoarding of food stuffs to create artificial shortage by some political allies
of prev govt so that they can mint money by increasing prices.

modi straight way cracked on illegal hoarders and brought law of prison term of close to 10 years who stock food stuffs and create artificial shortage.the trick worked and the result is here.

they have worlds largest reserves of high grade uranium which is required as a fuel for indias nuclear reactors which are running partially with limited amount of fuel.

and also for production of nukes and scalar weapons.

india also has good reserves of uranium found in andhra pradesh but is not of high grade like australia.

australia generates billions of dollars per year from india as indians students flock there for higher studies as it is cheaper for them compared to education in usa and eu.

USA & now Australia!!Most big countries are showering flowers & letting out red carpet for MODI!
This goes to show the kind of respect, admiration & love that the international community is developing towards India & MODI!

Australia is highly developed & wish they support in infrastructure support to India & help in our city planning...Also the racism by Aussies against Indian students & IT professionals need to be highlighted

Now everybody knows that NaMo means business…. If you want to do business with India….do it now else you will miss the bus for sure…..This is what Australians realized now. After all Australia too became famous destination for many Indians mainly due to Education and Job Market…. I still remember one such Keralite Christian Family migrated to Australia from Oman with my little help by providing all relevant documents regarding salary certificate & pay slips for few months for her Husband who was then working with our Joint Venture Partner Company. Same lady helped me lot by taking care of wife during my second child’s birth at Government Hospital in Sohar
