Mangalore / Kochi, Oct 26: “My presentation of the article in Kesari was construed wrongly by the Congressmen and some section of media as I have come up with factual evidences on how Nehru mistreated Gandhi, the father of Nation”, said B Gopalakrishnan, whose recent write-up published in the RSS mouth piece- ‘Kesari’ kicked off storm for new angle to N Godse killing of Gandiji.
Speaking to Daijiworld in an exclusive interview Gopalakrishnan, Kerala BJP state cell coordinator expressed his arguments enriched with historical evidences. He focused on extreme selfish traits of Nehru in mishandling of Gandhi and RSS role. He further said that the three lines picked up from the biography of Ram Manohar Lohia were largely misconstrued by The Indian Express and Congressmen.
“I was misinterpreted as I called the target of Gandhi by Godse was not right and he should have shot erstwhile Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru”, he told. However, he further argued that his point of view in quoting that line was to inform the general public that Godse had developed a misconception over the true person behind the partition of India before he killed the architect of Indian independence.
Gopal clarified he never told Godse should have targeted Nehru in his article.
Moreover, he narrated that Nehru was the key man behind the Kashmir dispute to become the international issue by taking up the matter to the United Nations. In other words, he told that Pakistan’s recent claims of calling disputed issue, an international one was the fodder fed to the Pak people by the first Prime Minister of India. “Nehru, then wanted to draw world attention to him thus reported the problem to the UN, see, he was extremely selfish”, Gopal claimed.
When asked about recent remarks by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which said Congress party has forgotten the Legacy of Nehru, he told I have just quoted the history as it was unravelled. Gopal said Nehru was close to Colonial establishment due to which he even opposed Quit India Movement led by Gandhi.
He told Gandhi’s sentiments were against the partition of India and Pak. “Bapuji, to avoid partition offered Muhammad Ali Jinnha the top post of Prime Minister, which miffed Nehru”. Gopalakrishnan added Nehru was aging and his age and selfish nature forced him to deliberate on partition to secure the post clearing Jinnha from the picture. “It was not Gandhi, but Jawaharlal Nehru was the prime force behind the partition of India”, he reiterated.
He also pointed that despite Kapoor Commission Report of 1969 that never had a single reference to RSS involvement in killing Gandhi, Nehru, Congress and communist forces falsely propagated the theory of latter organization’s veiled hand behind the unjust act for the sake of power.
