Udupi, Jan 21: "Congress party protects and breeds terrorists in the nation," alleged Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar, speaking at a convention organized for BJP party activists at Kadiyali temple hall here on Tuesday January 20.

"Karnataka is the first state where nearly 70,000 members have been enrolled in the BJP party. The campaign intends to bring Congress-free government in the nation. It literally means freedom from dynastic politics and a corruption-free country," he said, after inaugurating the programme.

Taking a further dig at Congress, he said, "Congress has no real commitment to fulfilling Gandhiji’s dreams. It does not follow his principles. Ramarajya was advocated by Gandhiji, not secular state. Modi has realized this concept through Adarsha Grama programme. BJP will extend its presence throughout the nation within two years."

He further said, "BJP has a clear goal under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has brought in a lot of reformation in the field of economy and improved ties with neighbouring countries. Next to Mahatma Gandhi, Modi is the only person who can bring out the nation’s power. He is the only power and motivation behind all integrated development."

"The enrolment drive will continue till March 31, 2015. It is aimed at enrolling four times the existing party workers in all states," he informed.

There are 362 active members of the party in Udupi town from 35 wards (including four panchayat). Enrolment campaign has been completed in 18 places. On January 24 and 26 'Maha Abhiyana' will be held in city.

Mohan Upadyaya delivered the key note address, Raghavendra Kini, Udupi BJP president, BJP zilla president Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Yashpal Suvarna, president of BJP Yuva Morcha, Shyamala Kundar, state party secretary, Naveen Kuthyar, Sandhya Ramesh and others were present.

Mr. Naveen Kateel, could you please tell who is a terrorist.I think terrorist is one creates terror in the society and disturbs the harmony and peace. So don't only blame congress, just open your eyes and see what your party is doing. I guess it is promoting terrorism. don't equate terrorism only to holding guns and killing. Even hate speeches, religious polarization and attacking the secular values of the country is also a terrorism...so please know the meaning of terrorism and then talk.
