Kundapur, Mar 10: Former vice president of the municipality here, Jacob D'Souza, took over as the new chairman of Kundapur Town Planning Authority on Monday March 9.
Speaking on the occasion, he promised to provide corruption-free administration in the coming days. He also laid bare his plan to prepare a detailed futuristic plan for the development of the town including its environment in the coming days. He revealed that this plan will be submitted to the government, and honest efforts would be made to transform this place into a model town.
Former chairman of the authority, Mani Gopal, municipal president, Kalavathi, senior Congressman, Heriyanna, local block Congress president, Malyady Shivaram Shetty, chief officer, Gopalakrishna Shetty, and several other leaders were present.
