Mangalore, Apr 7: Chief minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy has assured that he would stay in the villages of the district to study the grievances of the residents here, during his next visit.
Speaking to the mediapersons here on Saturday, April 7, he expressed his inability to stay in the villages this time owing to pressure of work. But he would visit the district again soon and stay in the villages.
Speaking about the opening of a police commissionerate at Mangalore, he assured of discussions in this matter with the officials in Bangalore. Only thereafter proper decision will be taken, he said.
After attending the Navakundotsava programme at Kundapura, Krishi Mela at Bantwal and visiting the Katil temple on Friday, Kumaraswamy arrived in Mangalore in the early hours of Saturday and then left for Bangalore.
