Kundapur, Jun 5: A farewell function to felicitate Sr Lily Braggs, headmistress of St Pius English Medium School was held recently on the eve of her transfer at Piusnagar near here.

Praising the sister for her selfless service vice-president Wilfred D’Souza of parish council said that Sr Lilly Braggs had made no difference between the rich and the poor while imparting education.

She was later felicitated by the parish priest Fr Wilfred Gonsalves of Piusnagar Church.

Presiding over the function Fr Wilfred Gonsalves said that her yeoman’s service in for a period of seven years throughout the Kundapur taluk was a model for others to emulate. She won both the heart and minds of the people and had left an indelible mark among her neighbors.

Secretary Leena Tauro compered the programme. Accepting the honour Sr Lilly Braggs thanked everyone for the affection and love shown to her.
