New Delhi, Jun 13: The controversy over the death of Pakistan cricket team coach Bob Woolmer does not seem to die down, with an Indian website claiming that he did not die of a heart attack, but his death was engineered by the Dawood mafia.
According to politcsparty.com, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is the man who runs cricket, particularly in the sub-continent-- Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It further claimed that the Dawood mafia pays cricketers and umpires a huge amount to follow its direction on the ground.
Woolmer came to know about this during his term as the coach of Pakistan cricket team. And, fearing that the 58-year-old coach might disclose it to the world, contract killers hired by the Dawood mafia murdered him on March 18, a day after Pakistan lost to minnows Ireland in the very first round of the World Cup.
This allegation comes just ahead of a press conference called by the Jamaica Police, which is expected to officially announce that Woolmer was not murdered, but died of a heart attack in his hotel room.
