It is clear that the name 'Samuel' had been added to CM's name the very next day after he stated on October 30 that he was at liberty to consume beef if he chose to do so and nobody can stop him.
Some miscreants edited content in Wikipedia to distort the CM's name because of the recent developments. This, in all probability, was done by people who resented his comment on beef. In most of the places where the CM's name appears, 'Samuel' was added.
Under his individual profile, the photograph of Siddaramaiah also bears the name, 'Samuel Siddaramaiah'. Along with other details of his personal and political life, it is stated that the CM is an atheist, who is opposed to socialist principles, secular principles, and caste system.
As per information, a person with Wikipedia username, Girish031192 made these changes on October 31, as per Wikipedia history. It shows that he changed the surname of Siddaramaiah by using a mobile phone. On November 3, an attempt to make some changes was made but it was aborted. The Wikipedia admin was alerted and the name 'Samuel' was removed'.
In July this year, derogatory information had also been posted relating to the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. The information posted then had claimed that the actual name of Nehru's grandfather, Gangadhar Nehru, was Ghaisuddin Ghazi, and that he was Muslim. A search for the IP address then had shown the changes having been made by a computer in the office of Indian government.
