Places like Nandikoor, Mudarangady, Palimar& Padubidri haven't seen any significant progress during the last 30 years or so! To progress CHANGE is essential and sooner we realise and accept it, would benifit all.

These all things are happening by the Grace of our Good Old Politicians. Without their Help this project would never come up. Now during the time of elections these politicians will come to the public and blast against the company. Then the company officials transport the Sack of Bags to the politicians House, and we the fool pubilc respect these corrupted politicians assuming that they have come to help us out. Dear Public- Please be aware.

I fully agree Joe. The development of region (which is so important in rural areas) shall not disturb basic infrastructure (which is so scarce in rural areas). Project Managers of big companies must take care. Keeping care and clear and timely information benefits all: Companies gets goodwill from the people people benefits from the companies. Land prospers.

I hope Suzlon is clean and green energy production company. Long back International Airport project was cancelled due to the same protest and the gift we got is Thermal power station instead. If Suzlon is going to be give us a clean energy it is always welcome. Political gymmic is to fill their pocket.

It is a matter of regret that some of us fail to understand the benifits of industrialization vs inconvenience caused to the people. In situations like these, it better that the Industrialists first try to educate the people, hold meetings and convince the concerned persons regarding the benifits of wind power which does not cause any polution.

ANY CHANGE IS NOT WELCOME AND IT IS FOR THE PROJECT MANAGERS TO CONVINCE EVERY ONE THAT THE BENIFITS DERIVED OUTWEIGH ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED. IN ANY CASE IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE DEMAGE CAUSED IS RECTIFIED.

The protest is definitely a political motivation, this is the main reason why udupi and dakshina kannada is facing the unemployment. There is a shift of talent pool from our district due to such political leaders who are set to urge their personal gain.

The government should take strict action against these protests. Let these leaders protest for basic infrastructures like the implementation of konkan railway, ban of minning trucks, illegal petroleum supply etc rather than creating obstacles to good projects.

These protest & morchas are influenced by people with vested interests. No one is caring about the develoopment of the region with coming up of so many industries. We are trying to discourage such big industries coming.Suzlon is setting up Green power plants & it is not really clear what we are protesting for ?

Please note the demands of the protesters. They never objected the project but demanding to rectify the problems created by the Suzlon. If we keep silent, we truly idiots and would be watching most of the jobs of this project occupied by Keralites like in the MRPL, BASF etc.

Multinationals are setting up their base in Mangalore will provide more job opportunities. Time for the unemployed locals to realize instead of joining the protest, they should request the leaders to influence them to get them jobs.

I wonder how our district will improve when there is protest for everything. Wind Power is the latest and complementary to environment. Unless cheap politics stopped we will never improve.

This protest seems to be politically motivated, and nothing else. I have heard that the company is non-polluting and has promised to give jobs to locals and is also talking about leaving Green Belt/forest area too.

I want to request the local residents not get influenced by some idiot politicians, but they should get understant the importance of green power & also get understand whenever any new company is comming in the region ,it generates lots of direct & indirect empoyment & supports to boost the local economy.

I think we have gained hardly anything than a bad name by protesting against the companies. Are we successful anywhere... we protested MRPL,BASF and now Nagarjuna and Suzlon.. all companies came up and we keep on protesting, they recruit their own people from various states not the locals and continue doing business.

This how we deal with the developments in our DK dist. Development & Employment can not be possible without industrialisation, but we need to study deeply about the impacts and its really a problem then we have to oppose and ensure that the environment should be protected. And I do not think our environmentalists are really interested in this. They will stop all when they get thier quotas from the companies ant keep quite.

It is sad to hear that, whenever such developmental work starts, it is accompanied by politics of this kind. One has to understand this development would open up employment opportunities for the locals. Before it is set properly, the protest like this would mean foolish & totally misguided.

There were protests against Thermal power generation unit. Of course, it had some valid reason in terms of ecology. However, this protest seems to be politically motivated. Also, this will take us back to 20th century than moving forward in 21st century. I request learned people of my native place, not support such brainless agitations.

It is most unfortunate that, while some company comes to our place means, it is developing, giving employment, recognizing for industrialization. Are we moving to the path/policy of Kerala State, protesting each and everything, thereby no Industrialist come to venture? Thank you Charles D'Mello you are absolutely correct people are truely IDIOTS.

The mantra here is...think globally and work locally. However, it appears that there is this resistance to change which some would of course brand it as threat to traditional way of living. What clearly is apparent from this protest is that the Government, the industry have a biggest role to play in properly educating the people about wind energy's pros and cons. Of course we have this independent media which is busy publishing dirty politics or from police files and does little to educate the people on clean, relatively efficient sources of alternate energy.

Most of the people who are objecting the wind power project are idiots. It may be good to comminicate with those illiterate people just for the development of out Dakshina kannada district.

While the wind power project would greatly benefit as green power , the damage caused by the project and illegal encroachments cannot be acceptable by the public at large. Moreover while promising jobs to locals they cannot take away the land and destroy the green belt. The company must reinstate the infrastructure destroyed and stop harrasing the local people.

If the company does not, then a PIL should be sought agaist the company and its board of Directors. Any company or organisation must have in its mission a statememnt, a committment to the extent how that company contributes to the general welfare of society and nature.
