Kasargod, Dec 14: Joseph Crasta the founder and managing trustee of Snehalaya Charitable Trust has been selected for prestigious Emirates Konkans ‘Kasargod Deanery Achievers Award.’
‘Considering his remarkable achievements in service sector, the Award Committee of Emirates Konkans Kasargod UAE (EKKU) unanimously made this selection.’ said the press statement.
EKKU, the association of Kasargod Deanery Konkans who are residing in UAE, honours the greatest achievers from Kasargod Deanery with this Achievers Award once in a 2 years and this is the second award. The first award was given to well known artist Wilson Kayyar in 2013.
The award consists of memento, facilitation and Rs 20,000 cash.
"Joseph Crasta the native of Bela of Kasargod Deanery has been serving the orphans, hungry, poor, and needy with his personal involvement. Also through Snehalaya charitable trust he has taken the great mission of Manna –the free food serving mission at Wenlcok hospital in Mangaluru and government hospital in Kasargod. This is a unique and immense achievement from a man from our deanery and we respect and honour him through this award.” the press statement says.
The award ceremony will be held during the annual event of EKKU in early 2016.
The statement was released by EKKU president stany Bela in the presence of Stephan Cratsa Kasargod, Vincent Rodrgues Kollangana,Melchiadis Narampady and Santhosh Perla.
