If people are disappointed over their favourite party losing power, then good luck to them. Let them not forget that it's the natak between the BJP and the JDS that is responsible for this mess. While the JDS's behaviour is indeed amusing, it was pathetic to see Yediyurappa run to embrace the Chief Ministers chair with JDS support barely minutes after hurling abuses at the JDS (That it didn't materialise is another thing). I dont know whether to laugh or cry at this behaviour. Even more interestingly, yediyurappa and co. resumed their campaign the very next day! That so called leaders like Yediyurappa and Ananth Kumar will do anything for power is well known, what is even more amusing, and indeed pathetic, is the attitude of their supporters, including a few here. They remind me of the story of the Ostrich with its head buried in sand.

Last week I had the privilege of having the glimpse of the movie ‘Corporate’. Whilst I observe the political developments aftermath dissolution of coalition Government, at Karnataka, must admit this movie haunts me every now and then. Marwa group of industries v/s Saigal groups, corporate world tussle is of the same as that of Congress and JD(S), both materialistic in nature. Marwas, having scored over Saigal for exposing the unethical issue of business of Saigals, later joins hands with Saigals, there by both can amass the wealth, without interfering in to each others business territory.

Now the move initiated by Mr. Rajasekar of Congress with the blessings of central command reminds me of the same rule, central minister played to patch up the differences between Marwas and Saigal in the movie. The tragedy of the whole episode is, the tax payer, who pays and drink the same old dirty water , CHILL, but certified by Government laboratories , ‘ Safe to drink ‘’. Saigals chief rightly said, ‘’ Corruption is the most important (imperative?) symptom of constitutional liberty.

Alas! Good riddance of bad rubbish.20 months in general and the last 3 months in particular only saw chaos and maladministration which needs to be toned up in the next 6 months by the Honourable Governor . One more welcome development would be stopping the stupid proposal of renaming cities which benefits none and only sharpens the divide. The state exchequer has suffered enough at the hands of the former Dy.CM/FM in doling out state funds to non developmental activities of one particular religious denomination without granting a single rupee to other religions.

Then the CET entrants to professional colleges during the year 2006 who were promised a subsidy for each year due to the high fee structure for that year have been cheated as no subsidy was released by the Finance Department even after lapse of over a year of making the announcement by the Higher Education Minister .

Only tall claims and blowing their own trumpets day in and day out without any achievement was the hallmark of the ministers. Most of the time was wasted in attending felicitation functions and visits to scores of temples in the state and neighbouring states, China jaunt by legislators all at state expense. Is this governance leave alone good governance? Let us hope the people of state give a clear and decisive verdict in favour of forward looking and secular formation in the ensuing elections. Jai Hind , Jai Karnataka.
