Bengaluru, May 30: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday May 30 was seen visibly angry with Mangaluru North MLA Moideen Bava for the reason his brother B M Farooq is standing as a candidate for Rajya Sabha (RS) polls from a JD(S) ticket.
In a meeting of Congress MLAs, Siddaramaiah showed his anger by shouting at Moideen for his brother’s dream of entering RS through JD(S) ticket. "I do not know anything about his plans. My loyalty is to Congress. I am a sincere party worker. My vote is for Congress. I do not have any relationship with my brother’s his political motives. I do not have control over them." said Moideen in reply showing ignorance.
Siddaramaiah was not happy with this. He responded by saying “When you want help from Congress for your businesses, you bring him to me. You know how to prosper in business. But you do not have loyalty to the Congress party. We were under the impression that your family belonged to Congress party. But now your brother is contesting for Rajya Sabha from other party. Do you know that Oscar Fernandes is also contesting the RS polls? How does he feel? Even Digvijay Singh is not happy with this decision. Next time you may not even get Congress ticket."
Other members in the meeting were mute spectators.
