Bajrang Dal activists thrash pastor in Madhya Pradesh

Rewa, Jul 22 (IANS) : A pastor and his friend were abducted and brutally thrashed in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, by a band of Bajrang Dal activists over the allegation of forced conversion, a police official said on Friday.

The duo were kidnapped on Thursday from Gadra village, taken to a forest and thrashed and later tied to a tree until the police rescued them on Friday morning.

Recounting the incident, Pastor Ramlal Kori told IANS that on Thursday he went to Nandalal's home in Mauganj to offer prayer services. At night, the duo set off on a motorcycle to Gadra village upon hearing the news of the death of Nandalal's father-in-law. At the village, a few persons associated with the Bajrang Dal reached the spot and began assaulting them.

The activists dragged the two into the forest and thrashed them. Later in the night, Kori's wife lodged a complaint with the police, who rescued them the following morning.

Kori said that many Hindu activists accuse him of forced conversion, and denied that he is involved in such activities.

Mauganj Sub-Divisional Officer Kamalesh Sharma told reporters here that the pastor and his friend were kidnapped and brutally beaten.

The police is investigating the case.

    Mr.Zeitgeist. Indian law doesn't allows this type of religious conversion. Missionaries are organised and funded by foreign rich countries.
    One should convert by his own wish not by inducement. Inducement and cheating conversation method , It is against the teaching of Jesus christ. ..

    Mr. Shetty, why conversion should be banned? Every human individual has a choice to make based on his learning and findings of all Religions and can choose the best which ever his mind and heart chooses to seek peace.

    If Muslims and Christians can preach their Religion to others, then why are you guys afraid and asking for conversation ban, rather than coming forward to preach in a peaceful way? What are you afraid off? Let the people choose which ever Religion they want, as it is their fundamental right.

    Just like Right to Teach & Preach is the fundamental right of a human being, similarly Right To Accept Religion of Choice is also a Fundamental Right of any human being.

    It is not to "fight against" as there is nothing to fight against defenceless people who are unable to even go to the Law with their grievances.
    This is called terror. And the Modiji is not saying anything on this kind of terror unleashed on the so called poor,lower caste people of India.
    They never publish or talk about why the people are taking up other religion. One good reason is, their own religion is not allowing them to profess their religion by not allowing them in the places of worship or in any religious or social function. They should ponder over these reasons first and correct them.

    Prabhuji: The Government of India has signed at the U.N. charter in which India was openly admitting that it is the fundamental right of every person in India to convert to any religion of their choice.

    For the Home Minister Singh and Venkiah Naidu, their primary agenda in 2014 was to enact a national anti-conversion and beef-ban legislation but now they keep quite due to some hidden reasons.

    How, six States of India have anti-conversion law? Is that violating the constitutional rights of the Indian citizens, as well as violating the U.N. charter?

    One Senator from Michigan while visiting India just before the visit of Mr. Modi's latest visit to the U.S. mentioned the anti-conversion laws enacted in the six States of India.

    There are many movie stars in Tamil Nadu came to the Christian faith from Hindu faith. Nobody will dare to question them. But if some poor person from the slum or gutter is telling that they are following JESUS CHRIST, they are being targeted for verbal and physical persecution by the street goondas.

    While I did attend a worship in New Delhi, all the believers were slum dwellers and from non-Christian background, mainly from the State of Haryana. Their songs in Hindi deeply touched me singing with great joy even though I can't understand Hindi. If you are telling that they were forced to change to this happiness, was it through the barrel of a gun or with a sharp sword?

    Hundreds of young people who were born and brought up in Hindu religion in the U.S. are now followers of CHRIST. Are they forced to convert due to any hidden incentive or through some external force?

    Can you look forward instead of digging the past? Can anybody change the past?

    While I was studying in the primary school, we went to drink water at the nearby Hindu home and the lady told me since you are not a Hindu, hold your hands and she poured water to my hands.

    My father was the first doctor of our village, and this family got free medical treatment and I have washed the wounds of many Hindus in my village. Thank God, none of them blocked by hands from touching them.

    Do I need to remember that sore shock of my life when some illiterate people acted in a senseless way?

    Attacks on the Dalits using the vocabularies " beef and Cow". The very low minority Christians everywhere, especially in north India are targeted using " forced conversion" by the jobless street goons. India is now flying, Bharat Mata Kijai.

    Glad that the M.P. police took the action to rescue them.

    Such events are going on all across India since BJP took control of New Delhi but many are not coming in the news papers.
    Funding for many NGOs, especially many Christian charity Organizations fully concentrated in working with the lowest stratum of the society was blocked by the Home Ministry. Those secret newly enacted rule of law is not known to the public but fully aware of that in the western world even the U.N. has warned India about that action, where 400 million people at the bottom level are living with $ 1.25/day or less income.

    The U.P. election result will be a big lesson for all these fun loving persecutors of the voiceless and defenseless people of India.
