Udupi, Nov 29: The Paryaya crisis that has cropped up due to Puttige Seer Sugunendra Theertha Swamji's overseas tour is getting intense with some of the 'Yatis' of the Ashtamatt deciding to boycott Puttige Paryaya if the seer objects to the decision taken by the Ashtamatadeeshas.
A final round of meeting pertaining to the crisis was fixed at Krishna Mutt on Wednesday but due to absence of Puttige seer, the meeting was postponed twice as Puttige Seer was said to have gone out of station. However, the seer has arrived for the meeting on Wednesday night around 10 pm and an amicable solution is expected to derive at the meeting.
A reliable source, informed that a preparatory meeting was convened on Tuesday, which was attended by the seven Mathadheeshas who had arrived at a decision. The decision has been put on paper and has been signed by all the seven 'Yatis', the source said.
Agreement letter mentions that Puttige seer can perform Paryaya and look after all the administrative and financial aspects but he cannot offer prayers and perform rituals to Lord Shree Krishna. This duty must be given over to a 'yati' from any one of the Ashtamathas. This decision has been signed by seven 'yatis'.
In case Puttige seer does not agree to this decision then the rest of the Mutts have decided not to take part in the Paryaya procession and other programmes held during Paryaya.
However, Pejawar Mutt seer Vishweshatheertha Swamiji said that they have been waiting for Puttige seer to return as the meet will be convened and decision will be taken in his presence.
"At this point of time, I cannot make any statements. This issue has to be solved harmoniously and a decision has to be taken keeping everyone's feelings and emotions in mind. As of now, the scenes unfurling point that Puttige seer may not have to be away from Paryaya," Pejawar seer said.
