No more police custody for Bhaskar murder accused Rajeshwari-HC

Udupi, Sep 21: The lawyer representing Rajeshwari, the main accused in the murder of Bhaskar Shetty, informed the JMFC court here that the state high court has ruled that Rajeshwari should not be given any more police custody hence forth.
The court asked to produce the order copy of the same for which the lawyer said that it would be produced on September 24.

As informed to the court here, it was submitted to the High Court that Rajeshwari had already spent required days in police custody and any more days in the same would amount to human rights violation.
Judicial custody for two
Meanwhile Navaneet Shetty and Niranjan Bhat, two more accused in the same case, have been given judicial custody till October 3. The court denied giving three more days of CID custody requested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Curtain rod retrieved
It is also said that the CID team took the swimming experts to Alevoor and retrieved a curtain rod after one hour of search in the river. The rod was allegedly used by the accused to kill Bhaskar Shetty at his Indrali house.
Two swimming experts had arrived from Mangaluru.
