M'lore: 'Muslim Sahitya Prashasti' to be conferred on M B Rehman

Mangalore, Dec 24: This year's 'Muslim Sahitya Prashasti' which carries a certificate and cash award of Rs. 5,000 will be conferred on M B Abdul Rehman  for the collection of stories written by him called 'Biduga deya Dari,' informs a press release.
 
Rehman is an notary advocate by profession and has to his credit several other books including 'Bhoosudharane Kanoonu' and 'Beary Gadegalu.'
 
This award has been in existence since 1995 and has been distributed by Muslim Lekhakara Sangha to promote Kannada literary works of Muslim writers and journalists.
 
The said 'Prashasti' (award) will be conferred on Rehman at a conference of writers and journalists to be held at the Town Hall in the city on Feb. 22, 2007. added the release.
