M'lore: 'Financial Inclusion will Boost Retail Marketing in District'

Mangalore, Dec 28: Financial inclusion provides financial security which enables one to access  desired credit and utilise it, but the developments should not rest here, it should continue, said M Maheshwar Rao, district deputy commissioner at the "Sarva Banking Abhiyan - Total Financial Inclusion of DK District," held at zilla panchayat here on Friday December 28.

The programme was organized by the lead district office of Syndicate Bank.

The financial inclusion would definitely boost the retail marketing in the district, thus giving high return to farmers. The farmers should not be delayed from accessing desired credit. Banks should go to farmers or to those who want to access the credit and explain facilities that are available in the bank. The system should be structured in such a way that the receivers must be the beneficiaries, he added.

He congratulated all the NGOs and other associations and organizations for rendering service to the society and thereby facilitating banks to achieve financial inclusion.  

K U Shanubag, deputy general manager, Syndicate Bank, regional office of the city welcomed the gathering.

Ravi Kumar P D, RBI, Bangalore, KP Udupa, DDM, NABARD, Uday Kumar Holla, head district manager and others were present on the occasion.
