Mangalore: Two-day 'CanFest-08' Commerce Festival from Jan 8

Canara First Grade College will play host for the two-day annual commerce festival 'CanFest-08' at the T V Raman Pai convention centre which will ce inaugurated here on Tuesday January 8.
 
The press release informed that the inter-collegiate festival through various events would test the management acumen and skills of the students. It will be a platform where the students from commerce and management faculty will get an opportunity to reveal their skills and talents, added the college management in the release.
 
The objectives of the event enumerated in the release are instilling leadership skills amongst participants, enabling students to gain practical exposure, inducing a spirit of competitiveness and inculcating values of team work among students among others.
 
The release further goes on to list out some of the events planned as follows: 'Tornado' (Ice-breaker), 'Pinnacle' (Best CEO), 'Salmon' (Corporate quiz), 'Chameleon' (Mock court), 'Aurora' (Dream merchants), 'Opossums' (Mock stock), 'Muskrats' (HR) among others in tune with the theme and related to ecology as well.
 
More than 20 colleges from Bangalore, Mysore, Belgaum and colleges from DK and Udupi districts are expected to take part in 'CanFest-08.'
