Mangalore, Jan 10: Swadik Sobd, a devotional music album by Fr Alwyn Sequeira, OCD was released at Infant Jesus Shrine here on Thursday January 10 during the solemn Eucharistic celebration. Bishop Emeritus Fr Ignatius Pinto of Bangalore presided over the programme.

This CD is the 8th album of Fr Alwyn Sequeira, OCD. There are ten devotional hymns out of which three tunes have been composed by Ashith Pinto, the sound engineer of Sandesha Digital Studio. Praveen Dutt Stephen from Bangalore has scored music for the album.

As this year has been dedicated to the Word of God, the album has been christened as Swadik Sobd.

While releasing the CD, the Bishop Ignatius said that the music ministry is a great and effective channel of transmitting God’s word. He further congratulated Fr Alwyn and his team and wished them luck.

Later he felicitated Ashith Pinto who took keen interest in bringing out this album.

Fr Alwyn in his speech briefed about the new album and thanked all the collaborators who made this dream possible.
