Mangalore, Jun 11: With regard to the news published in these columns on Wednesday January 9, regarding the opposition to the ascension of Sugunendra Swamiji of Puttige Math to Paryaya Peetha in Udupi by the members of Madhwa Association of the USA, Daijiworld has recieved a confirmation from the association president that contrary to the earlier report, the association fully supports Sugunendra Swamiji taking charge as head of Krishna Math.

The association has said that the allegations levelled by the persons Ram Kumar and V G Rao of Phoenix mentioned in the earlier report are false and baseless. 'There is absolutely no proof or evidence for all the allegations made by the above two persons who claim to be from the Madhwa Sangha of the USA. In fact, all the members of the Madhwa of the USA support Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji,' stated association president Kiran Kumar in a letter to Daijiworld.

The association has even denied the existence of such persons in the association, 'Having stayed in the Valley of the Sun for many years and being active in the Madhwa Sangha, we have never met or heard about Ram Kumar and V G Rao. We have seen Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji strictly following the scriptures and EkadashiVratha. We have also observed him following the principles of Sanyasi Dharma, Japaand Puja Anushtana. He has never gone against the Madhwa Siddhantas.'

'Hence, there is nothing wrong in Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji taking charge as head of Krishna Math. Infact, all the members of Madhwa Sangha of USA support him in ascending the Paryaya Peetha and spread Krishna Bhakti all over the world' stated the letter.
