M'lore: Agitation Seeking Reinstatement of MGP Ex-Secretary

Mangalore, Jan 12:
"Suresh Kumar must be immediately reinstated," urged Abdul Khadar Tasko vice-president of the Manjanady gram panchayat (MGP) here at a press conference held on Saturday January 12. 

Suresh Kumar, is the ex-secretary of the Manjanady gram panchayat, a village located near Mangalore University, who had been earlier suspended allegedly on charges of misappropriation of funds released under a scheme sponsored by the union government.
 
Blaming political vendatta as the reason for the suspension of the secretary, the vice-president Tasko taking up for Suresh Kumar lauded his achievements saying he had initiated many unprecedented developmental works in the gram panchayat.
 
Therefore, making a strong plea on his behalf, Tasko declared that if Suesh Kumar is not reinstated with immediate effect, than the gram panchayat and the general public of Manjanady village would stage an agitation in front of their panchayat office on Wednesday, January 16.
 
Anisa Banu, president (MGP), Shrinivas Alva, K A Monu and others of the gram panchayat were present at the press conference.
